Restorative yoga is a practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching.
We tend to forget conscious relaxation is just as important to our health and well being as creating inner heat can be. Allow yourself time and care to let go of tension and remind yourself how to rest deeply. Invite yourself to balance and re-balance with new challenges.
This class begins with a gentle warm up leading you into 3 to 4 supported, restorative poses. Each pose will be held for approximately 10-20 minutes with the support of bolsters, blankets and blocks. In this specific supported technique the body, the mind, all the muscles and the central nervous system are allowed to relax and surrender in order to promote healing and open into a state of conscious relaxation. Class will close with a supported relaxation pose, savasana.
At the end of this delicious session, your body will feel open and refreshed.
